Club bi-laws for your reading enjoyment

To all Chapter Members, Friends and Associates:

Hello everyone:
Stanley Peternel had a great phone call today from the Reps for WACO and GREAT LAKES aircraft.  They made tentative arrangements to be our guest speaker for January 2012 on Saturday the 21st.

In addition to that my Friends, "and I do mean my Friends"  we will be raffling off some demo rides if the Waco/Great Lakes crew brings aircraft on that day.
AND one time only - straight from Los Olivos-  We will be giving away a  jar of Carol Millard's special homemade Apple Butter, made according to an old Pennsylvania Dutch recipe with all natural ingredients.  BYOB  (Bring your Own Bread)

The December 2011 meeting will be our annual dinner on the 17th and Barry Schiff has committed to be our guest speaker, details about the party soon.

See you soon,
Scott Millard,

EAA491 Chapter Newsletter 2011
As most of you know Charlie Plumb bailed us out with our guest speaker last month by packing the guest speaker and our parachutes.  The alternative was looking pretty grim.  One of our board of directors suggested we help Charlie out with a floor stomping party.  Charlie has two pallets of plastic tile that need to be laid down and snapped together in his hanger.   Saturday October 29 starting after 9:00am.  Susan Plumb is barbequing something for lunch.  Door prizes will be given out.  I think it is an autographed photo of Carl and his Cadet.  Scott Millard is giving bungee jumping lesson off the side of Charlie's hanger for those a little more daring.  Roger Smith will have his smoking lounge available and of course Annie and myself will be giving ballet lessons after the floor is finished.  Charlie has some kind of design laid out for his floor and a special prize will be given to the person who guesses what the design is.  This should be fun so if you are hanging around the house tomorrow with nothing to do, come to the airport.  It's always fun to be around airplanes and pilots.
EAA491 responds and gets the job done.  This is a very good example of what makes a local club like this so valuable.  I was so proud to be a part of this and, I feel,  the members that participated felt the same.  Everyone worked hard and got the floor stomped into place in four hours with an hour brake for lunch.  Recap below in the six minute time laps.
