Airlines Viscount, 4 engine turboprop, from Pittsburgh to New Orleans and then Trans Texas Airways DC-3 to Longview, Texas when I went away to college. My next flight was in 1965 in a Cessna 170B, at that point I decided to learn to fly, so I did! Private, Commercial, Instrument and Multiengine all in the book. Airplanes I have known and flown: Citabria, Cherokee 140, Cherokee 180, Comanche, Cessna 150, Luscombe 8E, American Yankee, Stinson 108, Cessna 170, Cessna 172, Aztec, Ryan PT22, Stearman PT17, Helio Courier, and some right seat time in many others. We moved from suburban Philadelphia to Los Olivos in 1978 and as part of that move, Carol (Private Pilot) and I flew our 1957, Cessna 172 coast to coast over three days. A great trip, IFR out of Coatesville in PA for first leg but VFR the rest of the way. Several of our family also have their licenses. My Mother - Betty, Wife - Carol, Son - Jeffrey, Son-in-Law, Joe with our grand kids to follow. So - If you have something to fly - go fly it - even if it's a Kite!!
